In 2100, a group of scientists from Japan developed a strange substance that could turn humans into titans, and it wreaked havoc throughout the world. The titans began eating humans, and there were only a few survivors left. Japan is one of them. However, the titans also tried to attack Japan and it is losing an amount of area every year. And also, the titans are stronger than ever, rendering the current technology weak.
16-year-old Eren Jaeger swears to kill all the titans after witnessing his mother being eaten by them. The only way to stop all of these is to track down the scientists who made the strange substance. But all his plans are delayed when he moved to the Recon Corps Dormitory, the dorms for problem children at his school and he was asked to take care of 2 mysterious girls - Mikasa Ackerman and Annie Leonhardt - together with his best friend, Armin Arlert.
Timeline: Year 2100... in the future.
