~CHAPTER 14~
“No way, how could this be worth so much money?!” Kii looked skeptical as she munched on french fries. The LMC were eating late lunch at a nearby fast food restaurant using the money they got - 500,000 yen.
“Maybe it’s the material,” Ichigo suggested.
“Or the timeline when it was made,” Rai added.
“We could research about this, you know?” Oreki suggested.
“No! Our progess on SAO is quite slow, so we don’t have time for that,” Kii immediately rejected his idea. “Anyway, how’s our progress right now?”
“Floor 54,” Satoshi said, checking the progress on the hologram screen. “We should also play a bit of Shingeki no Kyojin, so that we don’t have to do so much when we rise to third-years.”
“Eh? You’re all here...?” a voice suddenly popped out. It scared the LMC.
“Oi! Kuroko-senpai, stop scaring us!” Kii scolded, regardless of their ages.
Kuroko was carrying a vanilla shake, as usual. With Kagami behind him, carrying a tray of 30+ burgers.
“Ehhh?! Kii you’re here too?!” Kagami was surprised a little. He sat down with Kuroko on the table next to the LMC. He noticed Ichigo and Rai. “And... new members?”
“Yeah! My name’s Shinya Rai, yoroshiku!” Rai introduced with a wink.
“A-ano, my name’s Shizuko Ichigo, yoroshiku,” Ichigo introduced, blushing and looking away.
“Kagami Taiga,” Kagami introduced. Observing Ichigo’s reactions, he asked bluntly, “Do you like Kuroko?”
“K-KAGAMI-SENPAI!!! OH MY GOD STOP IT!!!! BAKAGAMI!!!” Ichigo screamed, blushing harder than ever.
Kuroko looked away for a moment too.
“WHY IS EVERYONE GIVING ME THAT NICKNAME?!!” Kagami yelled, annoyed.
“Because we heard Aida-senpai saying it at the practice match with Kaijo High,” Kii said, giving a smirk that annoyed Kagami again.
“Never mind, I’ll continue to eat my burgers,” Kagami stuffed the burgers inside his mouth angrily. Damn it, Coach!
“You can continue with your conversation now,” Kuroko said as he continued to drink his vanilla shake. “Please don’t mind us sitting beside you.”
“Okay, so what should we do with the 500,000 yen now?” Oreki asked.
“Inori-sensei said we could get some upgrades or something,” Satoshi recalled.
“We need a new amplifier!” Kii immediately suggested.
“I guess we can buy that,” Oreki said. “But where--”
“I know of a store that sells furniture stuff!” Ichigo suddenly suggested. “We could also get other stuff there, too.”
“Ichigo-chan, you seem to know this area well,” Rai observed.
“Eh? Well, I’ve been living in this area for a long time,” Ichigo said, smiling.
“Then why don’t we go now? We still have some time left,” Kii suggested.
The LMC nodded their heads, and they set off.
It took a 10-minutes walk. Upon arriving at the store, the LMC was amazed. They’ve never seen anything this big before! There were lots of stuff for sale.
“This!!” Kii took out a drilling gun. “It looks like one of the guns from Gun Gale Online(GGO)!!!”
“Don’t play with that!!” Oreki warned. “It’s dangerous!”
“This...” Rai took a knife from the kitchen section of the store and held it like she was going to kill someone. “I only feel alive when I’m killing somebody.”
“Oi! Don’t hold it like that!!!”
“I have a kendo sword!!” Ichigo said, wielding a kendo sword she had taken from the sports section. “But it feels so.... light?”
“That’s because it’s not as heavy as a SAO sword,” Satoshi explained. “And please put that knife down, Rai!”
“Are you sure..?” Rai questioned, making a stabbing action with the knife, and gave an evil smirk to Satoshi..
The girls were messing the store up and the boys decided to look for the music section and they bought amplifiers.
“This...” Ichigo said, looking at the aquarium section. She was looking at a small little terrapin swimming in the water. “This is so... KAWAII!!!”
“Eh? Ichigo, you like terrapins?” Kii asked, scaring her a little.
“Um, well, you could say that,” Ichigo admitted.
“Are you girls done playing yet?” Oreki asked, standing outside and carrying amplifiers in a plastic bag as he called out to the 3 girls that were still in the store.
“5 more minutes!” Kii replied.
“We’re going home without you!!” Oreki shouted back.
“Argh, okay, fine!” Kii pouted.
The next day, the LMC replaced the old amplifiers with the new ones.
Kii arrived a little late though.
“What were you doing?” Oreki questioned.
“I bought another stuff,” Kii smiled gleefully as she uncovered the cloth covering a huge rectangular-like thing.
“Ehhhhh----?!!!” Everyone screamed. It was a.. pet terrapin?!!
“I figured we all needed a pet in the music room, so I got one using the remaining money!” Kii said cheerfully.
“Eh.. but how are we supposed to take care of it?” Satoshi asked.
“I think we can all take turns,” Ichigo suggested. “The school’s open even on weekends.”
“How about I’ll take care of him after school on Monday?” Satoshi suggested.
“Then I’ll be on Tuesday, Kazuto-kun will be on Wednesday, and...” Kii said, thinking hard. “Which one of you would like to take care of it first?” She looked at Ichigo and Rai.
“Me!!” Ichigo enthusiastically shouted out. “Okay, I admit I love them.”
“Then I’ll take Friday,” Rai said.
“Then the weekends.... Satoshi-kun and Kazuto-kun will repeat again,” Kii said, with an evil aura around her.
Oreki and Satoshi sighed. “Fine...”
“I think we need a name for it,” Ichigo suggested.
“A n-name?” Kii said, confused. “I can’t think of a name...”
“How about... Don-chan?” Rai said, *randomly* thinking of a name.
“That sounds... kawaii desu yo!!!” Ichigo screamed happily. “Its name is Don-chan!! It’s settled now!” She whistled happily.
“We’ve already fed Don-chan today, so, let’s discuss about the upcoming anime convention,” Kii said, scrolling through a hologram screen. “It’s coming in 3 weeks, and it’s called the Otaku Festival, the short form is OtaFest. We’ll cosplay and do anime shopping! Besides, OAGS has heard of this already and they will make classes optional, so we will have lots of time to play!”
“Yeah, but who are we going to cosplay as?” Oreki asked.
“The first 3 days we’ll go anime shopping really hard,” Kii said. “Then for the last 2 days we’ll have to decide who cosplay. We’re cosplaying Vocaloid and SAO.”
“I’m taking Kagamine Rin, Kazuto-kun’s taking Len, Satoshi’s taking Kaito,” Kii decided.
“I’ll take Gumi!” Ichigo decided.
“I’m taking IA then….” Rai said cheerfully. “But who’s paying for all this?”
“Well, of course Kise-niichan is paying for all this!” Kii said gleefully.
“Now, for SAO..” Kii said. “I’ll be Asuna, Kazuto-kun will be Kirito, Satoshi will be Klein.”
“I’m taking Silica,” Ichigo said.
“I’m taking Yui!!!” Rai said, excited.
“Wait, why am I pairing with you for the anime couples?!!” Oreki asked.
“Because.. well... argh! Urusai, urusai, urusai!!” Kii pouted and blushed.
“Then everything’s settled!”
