Electricity, Wolves and Supernatural Don't Get Along

Featuring Misaka Mikoto(electricity), Ookami Ryoko(wolves), Yato & Yukine(Supernatural), all of them couldn't get along with each other. So, how are they going to resolve their conflicts and work together to defeat all the villains? A teacher named Suzumiya Momoko decides to let them form a club called Otogi Students' Association, named after Otogi High School, the school which the 4 of them are studying in. What will happen between the 4 of them? 

 

 Chapter 3

This chapter was written by Ichigo.

Misaka turned around, and in a split second, as if by teleporting, Ryoko ran and stuck out her arm to block the oncoming strike. The suspiscious man had regained consciousness and is now back in action!

Blood dripped from Ryoko’s arm, and it stained her black coat. “I’m.. Fine....” 

“How could you be fine with all that blood?!” Misaka was shocked. She couldn’t believe her eyes.

The suspicious man seemed to flinch a little for having attacked the wrong person. He tried to escape, and Yato managed to injure his left arm in time.

“Whew! Now we have at least a clue to follow on when we investigate who did this--” Yato was cut off by the sight of Ryoko’s bloody arm, and Yukine instantly reverted to his human form.

“Ryoko-san! Are you alright?” Yukine asked in concern.

“I’m alright! Nothing to worry about!” Ryoko gripped her arm tightly, trying to stop the blood flow. 

“What are you saying?! You’re injured and that’s something to worry about!” Misaka insisted.

 

“I’m fine!”

“You’re not!”

“I AM fine!”

“No you’re NOT!”

The two rivals breathed down at each other’s necks, worsening the situation. 

“Okay, okay, stop quarreling!” Yato pushed the two girls away. “Can’t you two just reach an agreement or something?! Ryoko’s face is turning pale from the loss of blood!”

Misaka and Ryoko finally quieted down, thinking what to say. Yato and Yukine heaved a sigh of relief.

“... I guess I’ll help Ookami-san with her wound...” Misaka looked away, embarrassed. “S-She’ll be coming to my house.”

“.........” Ryoko was in silence. She had been feeling a bit giddy due to her loss of blood. 

“I’m going home now. Yukine, let’s go.”

Yukine nodded in agreement and together with Yato, they teleported back to their shrine. (A/N: They’re just borrowing shrines from a god :p)

“Yatogami injured that guy, right?” Misaka questioned while both of them were walking home together. Ryoko’s arm was temporarily bandaged with her black coat. “Then we must look for a person with the same injury. It might be the same person.”

“Mm...” Ryoko gruntled in agreement. “We’ll start with the school first. Then the district area. The person has to be somewhere near in this area.”

“What makes you so sure?”

“My instinct.”

“Ah!!” A random kid near the street accidentally kicked his soccer ball towards Misaka. Misaka, who was good in soccer, immediately stopped the soccer ball and did some kicks in the air. She was all smiles again as she kicked the ball high up.

“Hey! Aren’t you worried where the ball will go--” Ryoko’s voice was interrupted as she saw the soccer ball go right through a nearby basketball hoop which was no more than 5 metres away from them.

“Are you.. Kidding me?” Ryoko said incredulously as she tried to refrain from using vulgarities.

“Ahahaha.. Sorry.. Wrong goal,” Misaka stuck out her tongue.

“Hey! Watch where your ball goes!” A musky voice snapped angrily from the direction of the basketball court. It seemed that someone had been playing basketball and was interrupted by Misaka’s sudden shot.

“Oops, sorry!” Misaka laughed nervously as she caught the ball from the guy which had been playing basketball. She returned it to the kid.

“Gosh, I never knew the Railgun could play soccer that well,” Ryoko teased ambiguously.

 

“Was that a sarcasm?”

“Maybe.”

Ryoko turned around, and unintentionally spotted another shorter girl which was beside the guy . Her hair was tied in a messy ponytail hair, the same colour as the guy. They must be siblings, Ryoko thought. The guy was 190cm tall with red and black spiky hair. Then she scrutinised at her left arm.

It was bandaged! Ryoko gasped silently when she saw this. Could it be her?

“Ookami-san?” Misaka stopped after noticing that Ryoko wasn’t following her. 

“U-Uh, nothing!” Ryoko pushed the topic off. “I’ll be right back, just wait for me at the nearby 7-Eleven store.” Then she scooted off to observe and “eavesdrop” at the guy and the girl’s conversation.

“... Fine, I guess,” Misaka suspected something was wrong, but didn’t probe further. She proceeded to the 7-Eleven store.

Meanwhile, Ryoko hid herself among the thorny bushes, hoping she won’t get injured by the thorns. She observed that the guy and the girl were practicing their shooting.

“C’mon, Tora! I can’t believe your shooting deteoriated! And why are you sweating so much? We’ve just started for ten minutes!” The guy questioned. 

“Urusai, Kagami-niichan! My left arm got injured, that’s why I used more energy to shoot it!” The girl, who was called “Tora”, snapped back as she tried to shoot the basketball in, but it missed the hoop completely off the bat.

There are 2 things I find suspicious. Ryoko thought to herself. The girl, named “Tora”, has an injured left arm, and Yato also sliced the culprit’s arm. And, if they have been playing for ten minutes, why is “Tora” sweating profusely? She might have been only giving an excuse....

“Hey! What are you doing here, spying on us?!” Tora said in utter exasperation when she spotted Ryoko among the bushes. “Are you a stalker?!”

“What?! No!” Ryoko denied. 

“Hey, you were the girl just a moment ago... The companion of the girl who kicked a soccer ball into the hoop,” The guy, so-called ‘Kagami’, stepped in to verify Ryoko’s identity.

Looking at the drawing pad in her bag, Ryoko quickly made up a lie. “I was here for some research on how to draw a basketball manga! Look!” She quickly whipped it out from behind, showing her “evidence”.

“.... Hn, I guess we’ll let you off with that,” Tora said. “Let’s go back to practice.” 

Ryoko heaved a sigh of relief as she put the drawing pad back into her bag. Right, I gotta meet up with Misaka and tell her all the things.
