Love Miracles - Chapter 1

~CHAPTER 1~

A/N: I finally had the motivation to write Love Miracles... ^o^ This chapter will be on how we first met the Generation of Miracles(GOM). It will be written in Ichigo and Rai’s POVs, and of course it’s divided into 2 parts~

Ichigo’s POV

I was playing around with a shuttlecock, tossing it up and catching it repeatedly in the air. I was walking home with my badminton teammates. It was currently evening. I was representing Sakuragaoka Middle School, and today’s opponents were Teiko Middle School. Teiko was well-known for their basketball team, but badminton? Quite okay, I guess.... We were tied with Teiko.

How do I introduce myself? Well, I’m really quiet in class.... like nobody knows what I’m doing or anything. Although I do have one close friend - Shinya Rai... but she’s more into basketball, because she met someone special. It’s probably love at first sight. I sighed. I needed someone beside me.

Due to my dark past, I didn’t want to talk anyone, as I was afraid that they’d questioned my past. But this one moment changed my thinking.

A powerful wind blew, blowing my shuttlecock away onto a patch of grass near a basketball court. “I’ll catch up with you guys later!” I shouted, but with a low voice, so my other teammates didn’t hear it. Not like it matters anyway. I left the group and ran to the direction of the shuttlecock. I picked it up, blowing gently to clear the grass sticking on it.

Somehow, I could feel a powerful object flying towards me. Instinctively, I tried to grab it. I catched it perfectly, right in front of my chest with my hands. Thank god the shuttlecock was still in my hands, but...

A basketball is in my hands?! What the hell?!

“Ano..! Sumimasen!!” a boy with light blue hair called out to me, waving his hands. He was probably the same height as me. Maybe the same age too. I eyed his clothes. Teiko... Basketball?

I threw the ball to him. “Arigatou,” he thanked. I also noticed another taller boy with dark blue hair and tanned skin. They’re probably training....

“Dou itashimashite,” I replied. Then I walked away. But something was different his eyes... emptiness? I walked home alone, thinking incessantly about his eyes.

Back at home, I put my bag on the sofa as I opened a cup of ramen. I poured hot water into the cup, and when it was ready, I started to eat it. Out of curiosity, I picked up a random magazine which was about to drop out of a cupboard because it was about to burst with packed stuff. I decided to read it while eating ramen.

I flipped it instantly to the Anime & Manga section. Well, you see, I’m an otaku! I have anime goods on display in my house, but not lots of people get to see it anyway. You know what I mean.

After the last page of the Anime & Manga section, it was the Sports section. I also looked through a little, since I’m a badminton player. Did I also mention I kind of know how to play the piano?

Then something caught my eye. It was... it was THE BOY WITH LIGHT BLUE HAIR!!! He was in a picture with the other rainbow-coloured hair boys. Seriously.. rainbow? I scanned the page to look for his name. But... he wasn’t interviewed? It had the other rainbow guys, but not him?! This is so unfair. How could they have missed him?

But I managed to get his name anyway. One of the rainbow guys mentioned his name.... Kuroko Tetsuya. Eh.. nice name. But I felt myself attached to him, and I didn’t know why.

My best move was to find Rai-chan and tell her about this. She might know these stuff....

Rai’s POV

It was Saturday morning when my phone vibrated. I was in the middle of eating my breakfast. A text message? From who?

Right, I forgot to mention. I’m interested in basketball. Although I’m bad at it... I’d like to meet the GOM for once. Later, I’m going to Teiko Middle School Festival with Ichigo-chan, because I just wanted to meet them. I had a feeling I was going to meet someone special.

30 minutes later, we met up at the nearby train station. Luckily, the trip took only 10 minutes. We alighted at a station and walked to Teiko.

“THIS... THIS IS SO... BEAUTIFULLLL!!!” Both of us squealed in excitement upon seeing the beautiful arc decorated with flowers and balloons at the entrance. We were literally screaming in excitement when we saw the stuff inside. Other people might’ve thought that were weird, but I don’t care anyway. The task of finding the GOM gradually left my mind.

We were walking in the corridors, enjoying takoyaki and the decorations put up by the students from Teiko.

“It’s nicely done,” Ichigo-chan commented.

“Sou desu ne...” I agreed.

Suddenly, someone sped past us. It was a girl from Teiko. She had long yellow hair in twin tails. I felt that I’d meet her again, but I brushed it off. We decided to go to the ground floor. Then I saw a familiar group of boys.

“T-THE KISEKI NO SEDAI!!” I screamed, pointing towards a booth which was selling honey-coated lollipops. I grabbed Ichigo-chan’s hand and sprinted towards it.

“W-wait!” Ichigo tried to protest, but she was already dragged by me.

We stopped in front of the booth, gasping for air.

A yellow(blonde) haired-guy was taking out a failed lollipop. “Ah.. I failed again...”

A red haired-guy remarked, “Ryouta. This is the 100th time you’ve failed. One more time and you’re gonna practice basketball until you vomit later.”

“Waah~! Akashicchi you’re so mean~!” The yellow-haired guy cried.

I felt like I needed to stand up for the yellow-haired guy. “Kora, it’s not like this is the 1000th time he failed! Stop bullying him!” I was instantly shot right in the kokoro.

“Haah?” The red-haired guy gave a death glare to both of us. “Who are you to lecture me on this?”

The yellow-haired guy was giving us a run-now-if-you-value-your-life look. But I felt that I found someone special. His beautiful blonde hair seemed to reflect the sunlight, making it shiny.

Ichigo-chan decided to break the tension. “These... lollipops.. are so yummy...” She was drooling like mad. An aura of sparkles surrounded her. Have I ever mentioned that she LOVES sweets? Like the purple-haired guy from the GOM.

“Here~ I’ll give you this for free~” The purple-haired guy handed her a lollipop.

“Arigatou~” she thanked, and instantly put it inside her mouth, savouring the sweetness. “THIS.. IS.. HEAVEN!!!”

“You’re lucky,” the green-haired guy commented, fixing his black frame glasses. “Murasakibara makes the best lollipops.”

We were a little confused, so they introduced themselves to us. They even said that there was another female member called Momoi Satsuki who were their manager.

“Ano... but where’s Kuroko Tetsuya-senpai?” Ichigo-chan asked.

Kise looked at Midorima, Midorima looked at Murasakibara, and Murasakibara looked at Aomine. He sighed.

“Argh, Tetsu wasn’t here in the morning,” Aomine answered. “We couldn’t find him.”

“Ah.. souka..” Ichigo-chan’s face had a glint of disappointment. Her mood fell.

Apart from that, I fell in love with first sight with Kise.

But 2 years later, we met in Akihabara again.... the GOM didn’t seem to recognise us. That’s of course... it’s been 2 years.
