~CHAPTER 8~
Kii sighed as both her and Oreki went back to the music room.
“So, how was it?” Satoshi asked.
“Well...” Oreki said, hesitating.
“Well?”
“They’ll have to hold a meeting to see which clubs will be the most suitable to have an AC...” Kii explained. “We may or may not have an AC.”
“Ah..... it’s so hot out there...” Kuroyukihime said.
“I-I don’t feel like practicing..” Yuka said, resting her head on the table. Even with shelter, the room was still as hot as the outside. It was as though they could fry an egg on their heads outside already.
Kuroyukihime had an idea. “Why don’t we practice now?”
“Practice? It’s too hot for that,” Kii said, stating the obvious.
“No, not music practice. Meeting practice.”
“Meeting practice? You mean, we have to practice if someone objects our idea of installing an AC in the music room?”
“That’s exactly what I mean, Kii-chan.”
“It’s a good idea,” Oreki agreed. “Then we won’t have to hurriedly think of reasons in the real meeting.”
Everyone sat down on the chairs around the table with Kuroyukihime at the end of the table. “Let’s say I’m the president, and Kii is the representative of the LMC. Okay, we’ll start the practice meeting now. The LMC wants to install an AC in their club room. Any objections?”
They all thought for a while, thinking of a reason to object. Suddenly, Yuka raised her hand.
“Yes, Yuka-chan?” Kuroyukihime asked.
“U-uh... the LMC doesn’t really practice everyday!” Yuka said, embarrassed. It felt kind of weird.
“We can make good music, it’s good enough already!” Kii said. Uh oh. I might’ve scared Yuka-senpai a little.
Silence filled the room again.
“It seems there isn’t any reason to object...” Satoshi commented.
Kuroyukihime sighed. None of the LMC members had any energy to continue with this due to the heat.
“To be honest, as long as the summer is gone we’ll continue to practice,” Kii commented honestly, but bluntly. “It’s not like we have any major competitions anyway... so I guess it doesn’t matter if we get the AC or not.”
“I guess it’s true..” Oreki agreed.
It was the day of the actual meeting. Kii sat on a chair, with the other club representatives around a table. Misaka was sitting at the end. “The meeting shall begin now.”
Kii raised her hand.
“Yes, LMC representative?” Misaka asked.
“The LMC wants to request for a AC in the music room!” Kii requested.
“Okay, any objections?” Misaka asked.
Silence filled the room and no one raised up their hands. “N-no one?” Misaka was shocked.. a bit. “Well... I guess we can save the new printer for next year...”
“That means we can have an AC?!” Kii squealed.
“Uh.. y-yes..” Misaka sweatdropped and laughed nervously.
“Yatta!” Kii screamed in delight.
The next day, an AC was installed in the music room.
“Ah...! Finally... the heat... there’s no more..” Satoshi enjoyed.
“Now, let’s practice!” Kuroyukihime said, determined.
“Yeah!!”
A few weeks later, it was the last week of the summer holidays. The LMC had just returned from their respective trips. Kii messaged everyone to meet up in the nearby park.
Finally, everyone arrived. “Minna, I’m bored...” Kii said.
“Me too... I just returned and there’s nothing to do,” Kuroyukihime agreed.
“U-uh.. why don’t we go to someone’s h-house--:” Yuka suggested, then was cut off by Kii.
“House?! I just had a great idea!!!” Kii suddenly shouted, with glittering eyes. “We’re going to Kise-niichan’s house to play!”
“What?!” Satoshi and others were shocked. “But--”
“No buts, I’m going to message him now!” Kii said, then swirled around, took out her phone and hit the keys on it.
Kise sighed as there are going to be more awkward moments with both of them again.
Note: Right now, Kise is in school due to basketball practice...)
Kii switched off her phone. “Alright, let’s go!!”
“H-hai......”
“But how do we go?” Oreki asked. “Do you know the way?”
“Of course I do! Let’s take the train to Kanegawa!” Kii said, affirmed.
The LMC took the train and they arrived in Kanegawa. Kii lead them to Kise’s house.
“Wah... it’s so big..” Kuroyukihime commented.
“As expected of Kii-chan,” Oreki added.
“My e-entire life savings won’t be enough for this...” Yuka said.
“He’s rich...” Satoshi said.
“Now, let’s go in,” Kii said, singing a tune as she unlocked the door and led everyone in.
One or two hours later, there was a sound of someone unlocking the door. Kise-niichan! Kii thought. She ran towards the front of the door.
The door opened. “Onii-chan~ ♥（ﾉ´∀`）” Kii greeted with the cutest voice possible. (Note: NO INCEST INTENDED!!!)
To Kii’s horror, she saw.... Wait, Kise-niichan’s rainbow friends?!! Fu... fuyukai desu!!!
